To make the most of your time at Furman, our Accepted Student Days offer parallel programming for students and parents. After the opening session, students will break out into small groups and get the inside scoop on what life on campus is really like from a current student, as well as what orientation is like and how housing works. Meanwhile, parents learn more about why Furman is one of the nation’s premier liberal arts universities in terms of our internships, study away programs, and research opportunities.
Both students and parents alike will enjoy lunch on campus and an hour-long walking tour which highlights our beautiful architecture and landscape, showcases our classrooms, and previews our freshman residence halls. As parents take a break from the day’s activities, students will attend a class with one of our world-famous professors and participate in our academic open houses to further explore the major they are interested in. The day concludes with a dessert reception and entertainment by current Furman students. A detailed agenda will be included in your registration confirmation email.
WELCOME RECEPTION (OPTIONAL)
Families arriving the day before the event are also invited to attend a Welcome Reception on Thursday, April 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to experience downtown Greenville. Please register separately for this reception here.
