2026-2027 Admissions Social Media Internship Application

Thank you for applying to serve as an Admissions Social Media Intern!

The Furman University Office of Admission is seeking students to serve as social media interns during the 2026-2027 academic year. These students will provide a creative, honest, and entertaining perspective of the life of a Furman student.

We look forward to getting to know you through this process! Serving as an Admissions Social Media Intern is a great way to demonstrate your love for Furman, develop your communication skills, and connect with prospective students from around the world!

Application Deadline: Friday, Sept. 11 at 11:59 pm
Employment Dates: Sept. 20, 2026 - LDOC Spring 2027
Hours: 6 hours per week
Compensation: $15/hour

Role Expectations

Create blog, Instagram story, or reel content on a weekly basis.
Attend bi-weekly meetings with students and admissions staff.
Coordinate guest takeovers of the Furman University Admissions Instagram.
Assist in creating video and photo content for major admissions events.

Organization Overview

This internship is a part of the larger PALs Admissions Organization. PALs stands for Paladin Admission Liaisons, which is the umbrella term to describe the various groups of current students who assist the Office of Admissions in connecting with prospective students. All student groups included in PALs receive thorough training on areas relevant to their specific roles. Social media interns receive annual training on storytelling and communication, search engine optimization, and principles of photography. The overarching expectation for all PALs is the assignment of connecting with a cohort of admitted students each year to share your authentic Furman experience and to provide advice and opportunities for connection across our campus.

All applicants will receive communication following this date on whether or not they are selected as a Social Media Intern. All newly inducted Admissions Social Media Interns will be required to participate in a Social Media team training during September (final date and time TBD).
